WHat does a Maintenance visit for prEP look like?

  • Confirm HIV-negative status at least every 3-months and upon diagnosis of STI

  • Screen for STIs every 3-months

  • Reassess HIV risk(s)

  • Counsel on adherence to daily dosing & safer sex practices to reduce STI risk(s)

  • Monitor renal function (assess Cr, estimated CrCl, urine glucose, protein)

  • Consider substance use disorder referrals as appropriate
